A list of programs that start when you login can be found in:

• /etc/xdg/autostart
• /usr/share/autostart

Additionally there is also an autostart folder in your homedirectory. For KDE it is $HOME/.kde/Autostart.

Using the OnlyShowIn directive you can specify whether you want the app to show in either KDE or GNOME. I use the following line to disable an app:
